Donation to Rosie’s (Homeless)
It was with pleasure and pride that Members of the Ipswich Men’s Shed agreed to support and donate items to Rosie’s (Friends on the Street) in Ipswich last night supporting the less fortunate and homeless in our City.
Thanks to the Salvation Army for their assistance in discounting much needed jackets and warm clothing for the donation; and Ipswich Embroidery store in Cemetery Road for also providing additional stock of Sox which totalled 23 x 3 packs to add to our purchase for distribution tonight.
The Shed purchased 8 large tins of Milo and 40 double packets of Cup-a-Soup to include in the donation.
The support by Ipswich residents at our recent Garage Sale and Bunning’s BBQ gave us the extra funds to provide these much appreciated items.
In addition to the day, We welcomed 3 members from the Tramways Men’s Shed, Don, John and John were very impressed and a gift produced by Barry was welcomed by all three. We plan to visit their Shed in march 2024.
Thank you to all members who supported this event and is seen as a wonderful Community Support by many,
Cheers
Terry
